As a final project for my Information Design class, I researched and put together a story of recent changes in the movie industry from production to reception.
Process
My story involves 5+ information design graphics, compiled from 10 sources and over 700 lines of data parsed out by myself. I wanted to look into why the movie theater experience doesn’t feel the same anymore, and found that factors such as theater attendance, quality of films, and overall social excitement for films have all been decreasing over time. For my data visualizations, I used Flourish to design the layout and edited the graphics in Photoshop to achieve my desired look.
